Layered Vision

February 7, 2010

I have been looking at a lot of Doug Keyes work lately and I love it.  It is completely different than what I normal work on or like.  I love his Becoming Language series which is so colorful.  It makes me think about time and how photography is a record of time and in this case place.  The photographs are layered to create one scene.  I wanted to try it out so I made a Doug Keyes inspired photograph, its my first attempt and its not the best, but I will try again.  I am really excited about the idea and concept so I am going to go out shooting with it in mind and possibly do some layered work within the camera.  I would love to learn what his process is.
